Of courssseeeeee I have vintage/second-hand coats for you just in time for the holidays! Need the WOW gift?! I got you.
I’m not going to give you a ton of over-explaining or witty stories. That’s for another time. So without further a do—coats.
For the one who wants to (look like) they’re skiing in style

Skiing + Luxury Outwear = Bogner
This coat is made of down feathers (warmth & comfort) with a design that stands out and stands strong.
On Bogner’s website, coats range from $700 - over $5,000
That’s a big chunk of change — but people love their fashion forward outerwear and skiwear. Their headquarters are in Munich…and sometimes (most of the time?) Europeans really do it better.
For the one who loves buttery soft leather

Happy 50th birthday to Overland! A family-run business that continues to have some of the most buttery, silky, stunning leather coats I’ve ever experienced. This coat is a RARE legacy—one you can have forever and pass down again and again.
For the one who loves lavendar (or perwinkle, or both!)
Stay comfy, cozy, and cute💜

*Show & Tell: Vintage Vogue Edition*
Tell us about your favorite (or one of your favorite) vintage/thrifted pieces in your closet, in your house, on your feet, etc. Vintage shopping and thrifting bring a different type of surprise, joy, and beauty that online shopping just can’t replicate. Don’t get me wrong, I online shop. But the adrenaline from finding a hidden, Burberry trench coat about to be tossed at the end of an estate sale is impossible to replicate. (Sorry that sold before I could get it on the shop). Or finding a an ivory rose silk skirt that fits you like a glove in Italy.
That’s my favorite piece.
My husband and I took a trip to Rome a few summers ago. Just the two of us. We aren’t rich at all but we saved and we worked and then we arrived in Rome (it wasn’t that smooth but you get it). Rome’s streets buzzed with history, life-changing gelato, and a vintage store named Twice Vintage.
The store had that thrifty quality—organized but not too organized. No size racks. Just racks. The left side of the store was men. The right, women. Divided by blouses, blazers, pants, coats, then accessories sprinkled on top. And guess what?! It wasn’t American prices!! Sometimes vintage shops in the US sell second hand pieces for $$$$. Now, there are some pieces that need to be priced $$$$ (like archive, museum quality pieces) but most pieces are really just $.
At glourious Twice Vintage the owner was selling Versace jeans for 75 euros. UM WHAT?! They didn’t fit me though. But that’s okay because my hand grazed silk. Ivory silk. And then I saw the roses on the fabric and I knew…love at first sight. I tried the skirt on and it fit PERFECTLY. I walked out of that store with an all silk skirt for 50 euros. My husband says I look beautiful all the time but in that skirt I felt like a vintage princess. That skirt is one of the first vintage pieces I ever bought. Plus, it’s a memory of my first trip to Europe! I’m in love. *ignore the wrinkles—I haven’t worn it b/c its winter*
Soooooooo what’s your favorite thrifted/vintage piece?
